The incumbent performs welding work in support of the U.S. Coast Guard, Naval Engineering Support Unit, Industrial Operations Division.Being a CG civilian makes you a valuable member of the CG team. Typical work assignments include:
Welding assignments may include work on Lighthouses, aids to navigation (AtoN), barges, boats, ships and small vessels and their associated equipment.Welding various components of a ship including the shell, broken or cracked engine parts, framing, inner bottoms, tanks, boilers, decks, bulkheads, superstructures, masts, stacks, ventilation ducts, railing, Class I piping and similar components.Welding pre-fabricated subassemblies, buoys, davits, pressure vessel tanks, piping and similar items. Applicants will be evaluated on their ability to perform the duties of the position rather than the length of experience. Eligibility will be determined by the relevance, scope, and quality of all experience and training, regardless of where or how acquired.Applicants will be rated and ranked based on their knowledge of the following job elements:

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
