Airway Transportation Systems Specialist

Incumbent performs multiple, varying, and complex assignments associated with the NAS, and is able to deal with unusual problems or unanticipated air traffic safety issues. Maintains technical competency on legacy systems, and obtains the skills to install, integrate, maintain, and restore technologically advanced systems with minimal supervision. Independently plans, evaluates, coordinates, and performs work with a high degree of independence, keeping the supervisor advised of significant problem areas. Technician serves as the key technical point of contact for assigned systems, programs or projects. As such may collaborate with system users, planners, engineers, and contractor personnel for the acceptance and/or improvements. Applies experience and detailed technical knowledge in planning, managing, and completing assignments in support of the NAS. Specialist is capable of resolving problems as they arise and make adjustments as necessary to deal with systems outages and performance deterioration. Initiates actions to install, repair or restore systems and services on the availability of back up systems reconfiguration to minimize service interruptions and insure the safe and efficient operation of the NAS. Experience:
Applicants must provide a resume which demonstrates (in your work history) that you possess the specialized experience. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. The specialized experience must demonstrate an extensive knowledge of and experience in technology system interrelationships, and management of civilian or military automated aviation, navigation and electronics systems. Applicants must show experience at the level of difficulty and responsibility appropriate to the position. Generally, experience at the next lower level (pay band G/career level II or equivalent) meets the minimum qualification requirements as long as the experience supports the Demonstrated Abilities identified within the Application Questionnaire section.Demonstrated Abilities:

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
